BRM Lasers offers three lens types for different applications. Each lens has unique characteristics that make it ideal for specific tasks.
Lens comparison

- Strengths: Finest laser beam, narrowest cutting line, maximum detail on wood and stone
- Focus: Short focal length creates precise, thin lines
- Cutting capacity: Thin materials only (paper, cardboard, up to 3mm)
- Ideal use: Detailed engraving, intricate designs, small text
63.5mm lens – All-purpose

- Strengths: Balanced performance for both engraving and cutting
- Focus: Medium focal length, slightly wider line than 50.8mm
- Cutting capacity: Thin to medium materials (up to 8mm)
- Ideal use: General purpose work, medium-thickness cutting, standard engraving
101.6mm lens – Thick cutting
Section titled “101.6mm lens – Thick cutting”Best for: Production cutting, thick material processing
- Strengths: Maximum cutting depth, cuts thickest materials
- Focus: Long focal length, wider cutting line
- Cutting capacity: Thick materials (up to 15mm with perfect mirror alignment)
- Ideal use: Heavy-duty cutting, thick materials, production runs
